As Operations Manager for our Retrofit & Renewables service, you’ll play a key role in helping households across Cumbria make their homes warmer, healthier and more energy efficient. You’ll lead a team of staff and specialist contractors, overseeing the quality and effective delivery of services including Home Retrofit Plans, retrofit assessments, airtightness testing, cavity wall investigations, heat pump and solar PV support. You’ll also act as our technical lead for the Home Retrofit Planner, working closely with our partners at People Powered Retrofit to maintain high standards and share the latest best practice across the team.
This is a varied role combining technical expertise, people management, service development and hands-on customer support. You’ll help shape and improve our existing services, contribute to new and innovative approaches to home retrofit and renewable energy, and make sure that the services we offer genuinely help householders make informed decisions about their homes. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a passionate team, develop partnerships and contribute to the growth of an important area of Futureproof Cumbria’s work – helping create warmer, more energy-efficient homes while supporting Cumbria’s transition to net zero.
