We are the charity formerly known as Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS)
Standard and bespoke options for individuals, businesses, schools and community groups.
Futureproof Cumbria is at the forefront of empowering people to take action on climate change through innovative training and workshops.
Designed for diverse audiences, from community groups and businesses to school staff and pupils, our programmes enhance understanding of climate science, carbon footprints and sustainable practices.
Our interactive sessions equip participants with essential knowledge and inspire actionable steps towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental stewardship. By working together to understand the climate crisis we can build resilient communities and drive meaningful change in Cumbria and beyond.
Build your knowledge of what we can all do to reduce emissions at home, in our communities, and at work with a clear understanding of climate science, carbon costs and the impacts of everyday activities.
A series of interactive, engaging and collaborative in-person workshops to understand the fundamentals of climate science. These are typically half day workshops, and can be specialised for different sectors.
A programme of free and heavily subsidised Carbon Literacy and Climate Fresk training across Copeland throughout 2026, thanks to funding from Copeland Community Foundation.
Is your school ready for the 2025 Department of Education sustainability requirements? We can offer bespoke face to face or webinar training to help you develop your climate action plan.
Bespoke training sessions tailored to your needs: this could be an inspiring one-hour session for hundreds of staff at a conference, or a more focused session for a senior management team or board of directors.
Support our annual Big Give campaign and you’ll help us to secure a greener, fairer future for Cumbria’s communities, businesses and wildlife.
