Carbon Literacy & Climate Fresk training in Copeland

Empowering young people, teachers, and the wider community to take climate action.

In response to high demand from schools and youth organisations, we’re delivering a programme of free and heavily subsidised Carbon Literacy and Climate Fresk training across Copeland throughout 2026, thanks to funding from Copeland Community Foundation.

The programme is designed to build knowledge, confidence, and momentum, platform young people’s voices, and inspire meaningful climate action in schools, youth groups, colleges, sports clubs, and the wider community.

What activities can I expect?

  • Taster sessions.
  • Workshops for youth practitioners, teachers, and school staff.
  • Carbon Literacy training for staff and pupils.
  • Interactive Climate Fresk sessions.
  • Public workshops for the wider community.
  • Train-the-trainer workshops for green reps, environmental leads, youth practitioners, and eco-group members.
  • Support for sixth formers to run their own Climate Fresk sessions.

What outcomes can I expect?

Participants will leave the programme with:
