Cumbria Sustainability Network: championing climate concerns

At this in-person Cumbria Sustainability Network meeting, we’ll share what’s happening across the county, hear about some exciting new opportunities and look at how we can work together to influence what comes next.

We’re delighted to welcome Don von Rohland, Outreach Director at Climate Emergency UK, who will talk about the new climate and nature powers available to Mayors — and, importantly, how we can help shape their policies and priorities.

We’ll also hear the latest on the National Emergency Briefing campaign, find out what’s planned for International Repair Day, and explore new resources and opportunities to support community renewable energy schemes.

There’ll be plenty of time to catch up, swap ideas and make connections with others involved in sustainability and climate action across Cumbria.

As ever, everyone is welcome and a friendly atmosphere is guaranteed. Refreshments and a vegetarian/vegan lunch will be provided.
