Building Better Business: B Corp Journeys & Networking

40 places left
Hear from local businesses about their B Corp journeys, explore the benefits and challenges of certification, and connect with others interested in building a more responsible business.

What does it really take to become a B Corp – and what difference does it make to a business?

This event brings together local business leaders to share their experiences of B Corp certification, from the initial decision to the practical realities of making it happen.

Whether you're considering B Corp certification or simply looking for ways to make your business more responsible, this event is an opportunity to hear from businesses that have been there, ask questions and share experiences.

We're delighted to welcome Tim Maiden, owner of Green Small Business, who helps organisations of all sizes make sense of sustainability, develop practical climate action plans and navigate the B Corp process. Tim will share his experience of helping businesses turn their sustainability ambitions into practical action.

The event will also feature an interactive panel of local business leaders who have first-hand experience of becoming a B Corp. They'll share their experiences, including:

  • What motivated them to pursue B Corp certification

  • How they got started

  • The time and investment involved

  • What has changed for their business

  • How certification has helped them strengthen their organisation

There'll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and make new connections over tea, cake and perhaps even a glass of mulled wine!

Set within Waste into Wellbeing, a project tackling food waste and supporting community wellbeing, the event offers a chance to explore how businesses can create positive change for people and the planet.

Whether you're actively pursuing B Corp certification, just starting to explore what it involves, or interested in responsible business without necessarily seeking the B Corp badge, you'll come away with practical ideas, fresh perspectives and valuable new connections.
