Cumbria is a special place for all of us who live, work or holiday here. However, the effects of climate change have become difficult to ignore, with more frequent storms, flooding and changing temperatures impacting our homes and businesses and leaving their mark on the countryside that we love.

Between 22-29 April, we are holding our annual Big Give appeal, aiming to raise £20,000 to help us continue to stand up for a low carbon future for our county, safeguarding it for the next generation.

Thanks to our supporters who have generously donated to our previous appeals, positive action is being taken to push forward the policies and projects that make our homes, communities and the county that we love more secure.  Plus, the brilliant thing about this appeal is that all donations will be doubled through match funding from the Big Give.
