Cumbria Tourism and Gemma Procter

Gemma Procter has worked within travel and tourism in Cumbria for over 16 years. She comes from a marketing background but specialises in Sustainable Tourism and Travel. She is certified as Carbon Literate and has completed her certificate in sustainable tourism with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. Her work on behalf of Cumbria Tourism, as their Sustainable Tourism Officer, includes providing training and guidance and managing projects and partnerships.

Cumbria Tourism are the official Local Visitor Enterprise Partnership for Cumbria and represent and estimated 4,000 local businesses through their 1,500 strong membership. They help drive forward the areas Destination Management Plan which focusses on a sustainable approach to Tourism.
